Surprise, surprise! Milwaukee Record is doing another bracket. Once again, we’ll be taking the competition statewide. Last summer, we put together a bracket to help determine Wisconsin’s best lake. Two years before that, we called upon readers to figure out the state’s best city. So the obvious choice for this summer’s bracket is none other than…COUNTIES.
Between July 6 and July 28, we’ll be hosting our Wisconsin County Bracket. Over the span of six rounds (sponsored by our friends at Third Space Brewing), you’ll be able to cast your vote between geographic land divisions contained within the Badger State. It’s going to be fun…or go off the rails immediately. We really never know!
Following a Play-In Round last week, the field of Wisconsin counties was whittled down from 72 to 64 counties, which we’ve seeded and organized based on their total population. Beginning Monday, July 6 (that’s today!) and running through 11:59 p.m. CST on Sunday, July 12, you’ll be able to cast your vote—as many times as you want!—on 32 first round match ups between Wisconsin counties. Subsequent rounds will run July 13-16, July 17-20, July 21-23, July 24-26, and a final round July 27-28. A winner will be named on Wednesday, July 29.
