It’s been quite a run, but this weekend’s Bay View Bash pretty much concludes summer festival season here in Milwaukee, right? Wrong. The city will officially be festing into fall with Beet Street Harvest Festival. Rain put a damper on last year’s festivities, but Goodkind, Palomino, and Cactus Club thankfully decided to press on for a third installment.

Join the trio of Bay View businesses on Saturday, October 13 for a day of food, drinks, live music, baking competitions, an urban pumpkin patch, and festival fun for all ages. A chunk of Wentworth Avenue between Goodkind and Cactus Club will be blocked off for the occasion. In addition to the music outside, Cactus Club will offer local and nationally-noted talent all afternoon long, followed by a 21+ after party. Goodkind will be open for brunch. As always, Palomino will host the Great Midwestern Pie Championship.

The harvest festival will also have a beneficial and community-focused angle, as groups like Sixteenth Street Community Health Clinic, LSS Refugee Resettlement, Girls Rock Camp and The New State will be on hand to inform and engage visitors with a variety of activities. Local restaurants and farmers will sell food and produce. Great Lakes Distillery cocktails, cider, Red Bull bombs, and a variety of Pabst Milwaukee Brewery beers (yes, including PBR) will be available.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a block party without tons of music. This year’s list of performers is the most eclectic lineup yet. Afrofuturistic indie duo OSHUN will headline the outdoor stage. Inside, Cactus Club will feature the likes of Oozing Wound, Zed Kenzo, Slow Walker, Dog In Ecstasy, and more over the course of the day. Here’s the full lineup.
