The 2021 installment of Bay View Bash has officially been canceled. The sprawling neighborhood festival—which typically takes place the third Saturday every September—is one of the city’s last large-scale summer happenings. Though local mask requirements are easing, Bash organizers made the difficult decision to cancel the event as a pandemic-related precautionary measure.

Here’s the official statement from Bay View Bash:

“We have made the decision to once again postpone the bash. For the last year, we’ve fantasized about returning to normal and hosting an epic Bay View Bash. That said, by definition, a bash is a “social gathering” and without the ability to put limits on public gatherings or knowing the future, we could still potentially put our community at risk – and our number one priority has always been to support our community.”

We’ll see you in 2022, Bay View.
