WMSE’s Art & Music Event Returns to the Historic Pritzlaff Building on February 7
MILWAUKEE – January 7, 2025 – Milwaukee’s WMSE 91.7FM Frontier Radio has announced the return of its annual Art & Music event. Scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at the historic Pritzlaff Building, the family-friendly and multi-sensory fundraiser, presented by von Briesen & Roper, S.C., celebrates local artists and musicians.
Art & Music will transform the Pritzlaff Building into a dynamic studio with an auction featuring more than 200 album-sized artworks. Guests will experience an evening of art, music, food, and entertainment while raising funds to support Wisconsin’s only public free-form radio station.
The artwork is created by local artists, who are challenged to create on a 12-by-12-inch birchwood board without instruction. Featured artists include Nova Czarnecki, John Kowalczyk, Dara Larson, Matthew Gramling, Francisco Ramirez, Von Munz, and many more.
The auction opens online on Friday, Jan. 31, and closes at 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, during the event at the Pritzlaff Building.
WMSE’s BTSwrkng DJ will curate the evening’s soundtrack, including emotional and rare experimental music for the die-hard music lovers in the audience. And Milwaukee’s own NINETEEN THIRTEEN will provide musical entertainment.
“This event brings together art lovers and music enthusiasts in a way that’s uniquely Milwaukee,” said Station Manager Tom Crawford. “We’re proud to host such a dynamic and meaningful celebration.”
Art & Music is made possible by the presenting sponsor, von Briesen & Roper, S.C., and supporting sponsors, Museum of Wisconsin Art, Bliffert Hardware and Lumber, Great Lakes Distillery, Explorium Brewpub, Apertivo, Music-Go-Round Greenfield, Pritzlaff Events, and Aperitivo, Events by Design, and MSOE provide additional support.
