Since opening in 2018, Canni Hemp Co.—Milwaukee’s first dedicated CBD and hemp retailer—has grown, evolved, and expanded its offerings significantly. In addition to developing its own line of products, being a fixture at local events, and gussying up its rear patio in recent years, Canni owners Colin Plant and Megan Haug purchased the 5th Street property where their shop was located in May and set their sights on transforming the Walker’s Point store into a multi-faceted business that includes a cafe and live entertainment.

The live entertainment component will be on display in August and September, when Canni hosts its aptly-named “Canni Music Series.” The just-announced series will feature intimate performances on Canni’s newly-renovated rear patio space on select Thursday and Friday nights. The series will kick off with singer-songwriter Orlando Peña on August 11, and will continue on with performances by the likes of GGOOLLDD, two GGOOLLDD side projects (BLOOD and 1-800-HUG-ME), Chris Rosenau of Collections Of Colonies Of Bees and Pele, and a couple artists who haven’t been announced yet.

These 18+ shows start at 7 p.m. and a minimum purchase of $10 (or $5 for Canni Members) is required to attend. Stay tuned for the full lineup. In the meantime, here’s what Canni Hemp Co. has booked for its Canni Music Series to this point.
