It’s been a fun and eventful summer full of awesome festivals, great block parties, wonderful weekly concerts, and many more reasons to get out and enjoy the summer. But now that August is here, festival season is pretty much over, right? Wrong! Milwaukee, thankfully, still has a few fun things up its sleeve before the city’s populace collectively retreats indoors to wait out another winter.

On top of things like Chill On The Hill, Bay View Bash, Center Street Daze, and Fat Fest is an ambitious event at MobCraft Beer‘s taproom that the brewery is calling “Weird Fest.” On Saturday, August 17, the Walker’s Point (by way of Madison) brewery will celebrate six years in business with a winning mix of live music, food, specialty beers, and bottle releases, and “shenanigans” galore.

Following a morning Yoga With Puppies class, MobCraft will get weird from noon to midnight. Beyond the eclectic menu (whipped up by the brewery’s in-house Hidden Kitchen affiliate), unique tappings of interesting MobCraft variants, and rare bottle offerings to mark the occasion, Weird Fest will feature knife jugglers, belly dancers, fire spinners, a marketplace for Milwaukee vendors, and lucha libre wrestling. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Milwaukee festival without music. Here’s who’s playing:

The Young Revelators
NeoCaveman
Bubbles Erotica
6’10
Blood Red Boots
Andrew David Weber
Dan Buddah
