Okay, let’s just get through this: Since 2013 the folks at Rover.com—a.k.a. “the nation’s largest network of 5-star pet sitters and dog walkers”—have released a list of the year’s top 100 male and female dog names. The list also includes the most popular dog names in specific cities, Milwaukee among them. How does Rover come up with its annual list? By analyzing “millions of user-submitted dog names.” Fine. Good enough for us.

Anyway, last year it was revealed that Milwaukee’s most popular male dog names were Buddy, Charlie, Max, Cooper, and Teddy; its most popular female dog names were Bella, Lucy, Daisy, Luna, and Bailey. Fun! So what about 2018? Well, not much has changed: Charlie, Max, Cooper, Buddy, and Tucker top the boy doggo names (so long, Teddy), while Bella, Luna, Lucy, Molly, and Sadie top the girl doggo names. Way to mix it up, Milwaukee.

Well, at least there’s booze. Some other fun facts, via Rover:

• Cheers! Boozy dog names are up 44% in Milwaukee. Top boozy dog names: Brandy, Guinness, Jameson.

• Happy Days-themed dog names like Fonzie and Joanie are up 7% this year.

• Football-inspired names like Lambeau and Lombardi rose 36%.

• Most creative dog names: Salvador Doggy, Papa Smurf, Storm Trooper.

More nationwide fun facts—including the claim that everyone named their dog “Cardi” this year—can be found here. Woof.
