After a long, arduous winter, spring has finally sprung! Okay, maybe it hasn’t quite yet, but as the temperature rises, days are getting longer, and as the new season approaches, Milwaukee Record has its sights set on spring shows. We’re not alone in doing so, as co-hosts Tyler Maas and Matt Wild were joined by 88Nine Radio Milwaukee on-air personality Dori Zori and local music writer Kevin Mueller (most notably of Milwaukee Magazine‘s “Music Notes” blog) in their cozy—and, as we learned, foghorn-adjacent—studio to discuss concerts, comedy shows, and reunions that make this spring special in Milwaukee. South By Southwest and Cochella were also broached.

Fueled by a few too many bottles of Ale Asylum and some weird Serbian brandy Dori brought, the quartet breezed through a hefty number of events that especially peak our interest between this weekend and mid-June and shared some laughs along the way. Music in this episode comes complements of GGOOLLDD (“Gold”) and The Midwestern Charm (“Bloodbath”). If you’d like to see an episode of On The Record recorded LIVE, come down to Club Garibaldi on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. Guests include Milwaukee Day’s founders, comedian/sports talk radio host Ramie Makhlouf, and musical guest Joseph Huber. More info on the FREE event can be found here.
