Over the course of the last two months, the synth-pop purveyors in GGOOLLDD put out a brand new EP, surprised Milwaukee with an unannounced 12-inch vinyl release, and filmed a music video. Before tonight’s Milwaukee Bucks halftime appearance, and just days away from Saturday’s belated release show at Turner Hall, GGOOLLDD has made its snowy and stylish new video public.

Filmed on a secluded road in Cedarburg back in November, the band gave “Dance Through The Winter”—the first single off the aforementioned For The Night EP—a quite literal adaptation. Shot and edited by Logan Mitchell and directed by singer Margaret Butler (with bassist Nicholas Ziemann serving as AD), the video finds Butler and others dashing and dancing in a blizzard on a snowy Wisconsin night. Of course, the unseasonably warm conditions threw a wrench into the filming process. Fortunately, GGOOLLDD was able to secure a snow machine to give the wintry anthem the appropriate feel.

GGOOLLDD will play at halftime during tonight’s Bucks and Spurs game as part of 88Nine’s Milwaukee Mondays concert series before headlining Saturday’s “Ten Buck Show” at Turner Hall, which also features Canopies and Rio Turbo.
