Perhaps you’ve heard about a big election coming up next week. Perhaps you’ve been implored by friends and strangers alike to vote in said election. If not, let us join the chorus: On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, you should totally vote in the midterm election. Here’s a little primer if you need more information.

So there. You’re going to vote. (If you voted early, great job!) But what to do after you vote? If you’re one of the many who bought tickets to our sold-out screening of Idiocracy at Avalon Theater that night, well, there you go. For those of you who won’t be joining us, there’s still plenty to do that will either enhance your excitement or deaden your disappointment.

Yes, #iVoted, a national campaign “aimed at bolstering voter turnout throughout the nation,” is sponsoring two free concerts in Milwaukee on election night. All you have to do is show up with a photo of yourself at your polling place, and you’re in. 1 vote = 2 free shows. Easy!

Here are the shows:

Lorde Fredd33 + Tapebenders @ Miller High Life Theatre (Plankinton Hall), 6 p.m.

Eliza Hanson + Beach Static, Ms. Lotus Fankh, Kia Rap Princess @ Cactus Club, 8 p.m.

Once again, admission is free with a photo of yourself at your polling place. If you voted early, well, maybe you can drop by your polling place one more time for the photo op? Good luck.

And, once again, VOTE.
