The Milwaukee area may be the birthplace of the electric guitar (thanks to Waukesha’s own Les Paul), but there has always been plenty of acoustic music floating through the Brew City air. To celebrate that unplugged sound, local singer-songwriter Jay Matthes has teamed up with The Hotel Foster to bring the inaugural “String Fling” to the East Side bar Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7. Here’s the lineup for the two-night event:

Pre-sale tickets are $8 per night, or $15 for both nights. They’re available now. Tickets will be $10 at the door the nights of the shows. Both shows will begin at 8 p.m.
