The Bang Bang has gone against its name by keeping fairly quiet since the Milwaukee indie outfit crossed into new and improved creative territory with last year’s release, Bridges. Outside of a handful of shows (including an appearance on the Milwaukee Record Stage at PrideFest), the band has kept a low profile as they traveled and cycled in a new member to add to their existing sound. While The Bang Bang currently has no shows on the books, they wanted to lead into Halloween weekend with dark and ghostly new music video for a song from last year’s “Midwestern Gothic” album.

Shot over the course of a single day at Grant Park by director Brian Klewin, the “Northwoods Narration” video features the band performing on the beach and in wooded areas. Strewn within the performance footage is a plot line that finds singer Katie Rash and new guitarist/keyboard player Matt Mueller (portraying an “evil baron”) entangled in a dangerous relationship that leads to poisoning, haunting, and some frenzied rock and roll that proves to be a perfect aural pairing to the grim William Faulkner-inspired concept.

Watch “Northwoods Narration” below and keep your eyes peeled for more shows from The Bang Bang soon.
