The Internet was set abuzz last week with news that an upcoming Sleater-Kinney vinyl box set (due Tuesday, October 21 on Sub Pop) contains a mysterious 7” with a new song entitled “Bury Our Friends,” and labeled only “1/20/15.” Unless the date was a sly birthday tribute to Renegade actor Lorenzo Lamas, the Internet reasoned, all signs pointed to an impending Sleater-Kinney reunion. Today, we know the truth: Nearly nine years after going on “indefinite hiatus,” Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein, and Janet Weiss will reform Sleater-Kinney in 2015. Not only that, but they’ll release their first new album in 10 years, No Cities To Love, on—you guessed it—January 20. Not only that, but they’ll play Turner Hall Sunday, February 15. Holy crap.

General admission tickets to see the seminal rock and riot grrl group are $25, and go on sale Friday, October 24 at noon. The show will be Sleater-Kinney’s first Milwaukee appearance since a Globe gig back in 2000. Again: Holy crap.
