Only a year in, it’s in no way hyperbolic to say that Riverwest FemFest is already one of the best events bearing the “fest” suffix in town. Following a successful first year in which two days of female-focused music, poetry, and visual art raised $2,100 for Milwaukee Women’s Center, FemFest returns next week with more than 50 acts populating a stacked four-day bill.

To prepare listeners for the eclectic wealth of talent they’ll witness at the event (and to collect more donations for the beneficiary organizations), FemFest organizers plan to release three compilations composed of bands on the Fest’s lineup. The first one was released last Friday. Today, just six days from the benefit’s opening night, Riverwest FemFest 2016: Volume 2 is available on Bandcamp. This edition has 12 tracks, including previously unreleased songs from SIN BAD and Fox Face, Queen Tut’s entrancing “Dominion,” and tracks from Fivy, Heavy Hand, Ramma Lamma, and more.

Like the last time around, the comp can be obtained for a “name your price” download fee, and all money will go to Milwaukee Women’s Center and DRAM (Date Rape Awareness Milwaukee). Give both FemFest comps a listen and pre-order your FemFest weekend pass today.
