Back in January, we anxiously reported that Hot Snakes (of “Holy shit, the motherfucking Hot Snakes!” fame) would be playing at the cozy confines of Cactus Club on Thursday, March 15. Predictably, the show sold out almost instantly. As a result of what the Bay View bar is calling “wildly high demand,” Cactus Club announced Wednesday afternoon that next week’s show is being moved to Mad Planet.
While the news is surely disappointing to some folks who were excited to see the band in the intimate setting, more people will now get to hear the incomparable rock outfit on the eve of releasing its awesome return record, Jericho Sirens. Also, people will have more elbow room. So there’s that.
Full refunds are being offered to anyone impacted by the venue change. But seriously, who is going to pass up the chance to see Hot Snakes because of a venue change? Get over it. Anyway, day of show tickets will be available for $27 at Mad Planet when doors open at 8 p.m.
