You know you’ve arrived when, at 17, you’re telling the world press that you “don’t want to be a role model.” That’s just where New Zealand pop sensation Lorde has found herself in 2014, less than two years after posting her music to Soundcloud as a free download. Now a bona fide superstar thanks to last year’s Pure Heroine and the unstoppable singles “Royals” and “Team,” Lorde may be subject to the disposable glare and gossip of the media, but her hypnotic and cooly detached music signals that the 17-year-old is here to stay.

She’s also headed to Milwaukee, where she’ll play the BMO Harris Pavilion on the Summerfest grounds Friday, September 26. This will be the second show and first original booking for the Pabst Theater Group at the BMO Harris Pavilion—a venue that has been seldom used outside of Summerfest—and Lorde’s first visit to Milwaukee. Tickets are $55.50 for lower bowl general admission standing and reserved seats; $45.50 for upper bowl reserved seats; and $35.50 for rear standing room. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Canadian indie duo Majical Cloudz open.

Registration for a special invitation presale hosted by Lorde runs from now until tomorrow at 11 p.m. General onsale begins Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m. at pabsttheater.org or ticketmaster.com.
