Advance tracks from Canopies’ debut full-length album, Maximize Your Faith, have been floating through the online ether for months now, teasing what will hopefully be a stunning effort from Milwaukee’s beloved synth-pop act. It will certainly be a tough act to follow: the band’s 2011 self-titled EP landed at #4 on our list of the 50 best Milwaukee albums of the 2010s (so far). Today, however, any lingering questions about Maximize Your Faith have been put to rest. Spin is streaming the album in full, and, surprise surprise, it’s excellent.

There’s a lot to like here—from the glistening melancholy of opener “Getting Older” to the goth-tinged gloom of “Sparkle And Hum”—but we’ll let you dig in for yourselves. Maximize Your Faith sees its official release December 9 on Forged Artifacts, and you can pre-order the album here. A Milwaukee release show with The Fatty Acids, meanwhile, is set for December 12 at the Polish Falcon. Be there.
