After two encouraging, fun, and overwhelmingly positive years of Milwaukee Record‘s “Local Coverage” benefit, we’re thrilled to announce the show that brings a diverse menagerie of Milwaukee acts together to cover each other’s music will return for a third year. Local Coverage 2017 will come to Turner Hall Ballroom on Friday, January 13. This time around, all profits from the event benefit Girls Rock Milwaukee and COA Youth & Family Center‘s Holton Teen Program.

Though the lineup is set (and quite a good one), we’ve yet to determine who’s covering who. Like previous years, the bands and rappers involved will be deciding their own fates by picking the act they wish to cover during our Local Coverage draft. Unlike the first two times, we’ve decided to open this year’s draft to the public. Join us at Company Brewing on Monday, October 24, as 10 Milwaukee bands, rappers, and solo artists pick the music they’ll spend the next 80-plus days learning, adapting, and re-imagining. Get an advanced look at the lineup, enjoy a drink or two, and get ready for Milwaukee Record‘s favorite event of the year. We hope to see you there!
