Since 2013, Milwaukee musician Andrew Shelp has given the city a loud, fuzzed-out, and reverb-drenched gift every spring: Milwaukee Psych Fest. Returning for its seventh (!) year April 12 and 13 at The Cooperage, the psych-celebrating blowout will once again assemble a dizzying array of talent from around the globe.

A slew of pre-fest events are on the docket, too. A fundraiser is set for Friday, February 8 at Boone & Crockett; a warm-up party (featuring Mdou Moctar, Ravi/Lola, Old Prospectors, Names Divine, and more) is set for Friday, April 5 at The Cooperage; and an official pre-party is set for Thursday, April 11 at Boone & Crockett. There’s also a “super special showing of an incredible movie at the Oriental Theater” set for Sunday, April 14. Phew. Here’s the lineup:
