One event we failed to mention in our otherwise thorough and exhaustive Summer Festival Guide was MishMash Fest. Since The Fatty Acids unofficially christened the inaugural event with an amp fire back in 2011, the plucky Riverwest festival has grown and evolved. In the years after that memorable outset, MishMash Fest has transitioned beyond of the quaint confines of Art Bar and into a two-day block party with two stages, a talent show, and a list of past musical acts that includes Animals In Human Attire, Calliope, Crappy Dracula, Uncle Larry, Slow Walker, Platinum Boys, Midnight Reruns, Antler House, and many more.

MishMash Fest 2016—Friday, July 29 at the intersection of Burleigh and Fratney streets—has scaled down to a single-day affair for the second straight year, but has managed to pack its two stages with an eclectic mix of great Milwaukee bands, Wisconsin’s premier Chumbawamba tribute act, food trucks, a marketplace, and a pyrotechnic performance by the Brewcity Fire Brigade. It’s going to be great, but don’t just take our word for it. Here’s the MishMash Fest 2016 lineup.
