You’d never know it from the early-spring-like, Jesus-Christ-is-this-ever-going-to-end weather, but summer in Milwaukee is more or less here, and with it comes the buildup to the city’s countless festivals and street parties. A perennial favorite, the Locust Street Festival of Music & Art, just released a partial lineup of bands for 2014, and it’s another solid list of returning favorites (Kane Place Record Club, Sigmund Snopek), and, well, more returning favorites (The Fatty Acids, Extra Crispy Brass Band). More bands are expected to be announced soon.

The 38th (!) installment of the fest—which takes place on E. Locust St. between Humboldt and Holton—is scheduled for Sunday, June 8, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. The always popular 1.8-mile Beer Run begins at 11:30 a.m.
