With many of the big street fests of 2014 already behind us (Locust Street, Burnhearts/PBR), and another taking place in a few weeks (Brady Street), it would seem that the curtain is slowly being drawn on another year of outdoor music, outdoor food, outdoor drinks, and outdoor drum circles. But fear not! The 17th annual Center Street Daze Festival is still in the mix, and is scheduled for Saturday, August 2 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The earlier date (past fests were usually in September) should ensure a better shot at cooperative weather, as will the music lineup, which was released yesterday. It’s not exactly mind-blowing, but a headlining set from legendary Milwaukee punk group Couch Flambeau is a nice touch. Check out the rest of the bands below.

Also in store for Center Street Daze Festival ’14 (beyond food, drinks, crafts, and people-watching) is an RAA Art Cart Race at noon; a classic car show at 1:30 p.m.; a pool tournament at the Uptowner beginning at noon; a pinball tournament at the Uptowner beginning at 5 p.m.; and a dodgeball tournament beginning at 3 p.m.
