Back in March, we formally introduced you to Vincent VanGREAT—the longtime producer of veteran rap collective, SAFS Crew—by way of “Blast Off,” the first single from his forthcoming UnGREATful. Though the highly-anticipated debut record isn’t due out until later this year, VanGREAT and Uni.Fi Records wanted to drop a little breadcrumb to hold early adopters over and to further familiarize should-be Milwaukee listeners with a name they might be hearing a lot more by year’s end.

Instead of releasing another track from the upcoming record that shows VanGREAT’s production prowess, a short and purely promotional visual piece finds the up-and-coming artist rapping and singing over an instrumental track by MF Doom. While it won’t be part of his freshman LP, the 90-second “Ninja Sauce” video clip highlights VanGREAT’s personality and his desire to put himself and his music front and center with his first release. If this clip and “Blast Off” have you intrigued, Vincent VanGREAT will unveil some soon to be released material with full band backing at Riverwest Public House on Friday, May 8.
