Summer is almost upon us, and with it, approximately 8,000 events that involve the word/suffix “fest.” But how many of those fests (conveniently compiled here for your perusing pleasure) boast not one, but five electronic/industrial bands? And, better yet, how many involve the participation of not one, but…okay, just one Dead Milkman? If you said, “The Fromm Petfest?” you’d be wrong.

Enter Erosion Fest, scheduled for Friday, June 12 at the Miramar Theatre. The one-night industrial blowout will feature headlining performances from legendary Denver group Velvet Acid Christ (the longtime project of singer-producer Bryan Erickson) and cheeky Madison outfit Caustic (writers of such songs as “Industrial Mustache Ride”). Dead Milkmen singer-keyboardist Rodney Anonymous will accompany Velvet Acid Christ for two songs, and will perhaps take a dig at “Depeche Commode” in the process.

Other bands on the Erosion Fest bill include The Gothsicles, Mindless Faith, and Stoneburner. Baltimore’s Ego Likeness will perform a special two-song set. Tickets for the all-ages show are $20 each, or $60 for a pack of four. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
