We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: For a band that doesn’t get much local love, Direct Hit! enjoys a great deal of attention elsewhere. The latest case of DH! getting outward acknowledgement will come at 12:35 a.m. tonight…or tomorrow, whatever, when the band will appear on Last Call With Carson Daly. Singer/guitarist Nick Woods says the band was interviewed for the show, and won’t be performing. Sylvan Esso had a similar appearance on the show over the summer. If there’s ever a reason to watch Last Call With Carson Daly (and we’re honestly not sure there is), this is it.

Once the TRL guy helps acquaint you with a great band that’s right under your nose, consider catching Direct Hit! opening for The Suicide Machines in Cudahy Friday night. It will be the band’s last Milwaukee show of the year, as they’re headed to play the massive “Fest” punk event in Florida later this month, and will be on the road thereafter.

UPDATE: If you missed Last Call With Carson Daly (like most viewers do intentionally on a nightly basis) yesterday, HERE is Direct Hit!’s “Snapshot” interview. Not featured in the clip is where Daly reads DH!’s website url (DirectHitSucks.com), scoffs, and says, “Punk rock, baby. Gotta love it.” after the segment.
