Arte Para Todos 2016 was awesome. Between April 21 through April 24, an outstanding lineup of more than 90 bands and rappers took to 25 Milwaukee venues in five of the city’s neighborhoods. Even more impressive, the second-year event was a benefit for area art programs. It took a few weeks for cash to be counted and checks to be cut, but we finally know how much money the latest iteration of the benefit brought in.

The grand total Arte Para Todos 2016 raised is an impressive $17,906.88, all of which will be split equally between George Washington Carver Academy, Escuela Vieau, Milwaukee Parkside School Of The Arts, and Frederick J. Gaenslen School. Each partner school will receive $4476.72.

Though the total is down slightly from the inaugural Arte’s $21,165 take, the grassroots event built on little more than the principles of hard work and generosity has raised close to $40,000 in just seven total days spread through two years, and has given Milwaukee music something wonderful and wildly entertaining in the process. Well done, Arte! We’ll see you next year.
