Here at Milwaukee Record, we employ a sentient machine known as the Great Job Milwaukee Bot to keep track of the city’s many appearances on dopey online lists, as well as any time a national publication deigns to acknowledges our pathetic Midwest existence. In the past, the infernal machine has brought us news that Rolling Stone likes Summerfest, that Travel + Leisure thinks we’re ugly as dirt, and that Vogue thinks Milwaukee is “the Midwest’s coolest (and most underrated) city.” Also, someone from that awful Gwyneth Paltrow site, Goop, likes our food.

And you know who else likes our food? Money Inc., which recently published a glowing piece titled “Milwaukee’s Third Ward is a Midwestern Mecca for Foodies.” Foodies! Yum!

“Nowadays, [the Third Ward] is the hottest neighborhood in town, rivaling any restaurant-saturated enclave in the nation,” says Chicago-based writer Matt Kirouac. “From foie gras potstickers at DanDan and melon tartare at red-hot Fauntleroy to The Outsider, one of the city’s first rooftop cocktail bars, this is one of the best neighborhoods for dining in the Midwest.”

Other Third Ward eateries receiving praise include EsterEv, Tre Rivali, Onesto, Bavette La Boucherie, Holey Moley Coffee + Doughnuts, and the Milwaukee Public Market (“Well before food halls became the trendy national juggernaut they are today, Milwaukee was home to an O.G.”)

Hey! Great job, Milwaukee!
