On the off chance you’ve been waiting in line for a $1 Jimmy John’s sub and this is the first thing you’re reading all day, boy, we have some bad news. Prince passed away. Beyond being among the greatest and most revolutionary, transcendent and all-around iconic forces in the history of recorded music, The Artist also dabbled in acting.

Mere months after the Avalon screened Labyrinth to honor the life and work of David Bowie, its sister cinema will bring Prince to the big screen a few more times. Next week, Times Cinema will host three screenings of the Oscar-winning 1984 rock opera and Prince’s motion picture debut, Purple Rain. The trio of screenings will run from Tuesday through Thursday (all with 9:30 start times) and cost $5. Advance tickets to the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday showings are on sale now.

Prince may be gone, but we’ll always have his music. And this film.

Update: Since the three screening sold out, two showings on Friday, April 29 have been added. Tickets to the 4:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. screenings are available now.
