If our calculations are correct, the 2014 Milwaukee Film Festival is little more than two months away. (Cue heart attacks from everyone at Milwaukee Film.) Like past fests, the sixth annual installment—scheduled for September 25 – October 9—is sure to be a highlight of the year, with oodles of incredible films, tons of great events, and more live music than you can shake a clapboard at. Add to that list a new venue for the 2014 Milwaukee Film Festival: the Times Cinema. The beloved Milwaukee theater—which opened in 1935 and reopened in 2012 under owner Lee Barczak—will join the Landmark Oriental Theatre, Landmark Downer Theatre, and Fox Bay Cinema Grill as Milwaukee Film screening locations.

In a press release, Barczak says he is “thrilled that we can partner with the Milwaukee Film Festival and bring the wonderful films that Milwaukee enjoys to the west side neighborhood of Washington Heights.” Currently, the Times screens new releases, classic, and cult films.

In addition to the new venue, Milwaukee Film has unveiled the campaign artwork for the 2014 fest, created by photographer Kat Schleicher and Lone Shoe Graphics designer Cathy Brautigam. A longtime Milwaukee Film collaborator, Brautigam also designed the unspeakably awesome logo for this very website. We suppose there’s some sort of conflict of interest in mentioning that, though we’ll just chalk it up to great minds thinking alike.
