Believe it or not, Mondo Lucha is right around the corner. The event has been bringing Milwaukee over-the-top, high-flying, masked lucha libre wrestling since 2008, and it’s bigger and better than ever before. This year’s event—September 8 at Turner Hall, by the way—is dangerously close to selling out. Those of you who don’t act fast enough, or for folks who are looking to double their fun, might be interested to learn organizers have added an extra special pre-show event this year. Join Mondo Lucha, former WWE talent Johnny Mundo, and other wrestlers at Avalon Theater on Thursday, September 7 for an intimate screening of Mundo’s 2017 film, Boone: The Bounty Hunter.

The 8 p.m. screening, which is to take place in the movie house’s 68-capacity “Backstage Theater,” will also feature a post-show Q&A with Mundo himself, as well as a meet and greet with him and other Mondo Lucha wrestlers. Naturally, there’s going to be a post-film party at The Vanguard. Tickets to this rare screening of Boone: The Bounty Hunter cost $5 at the door. More details can be found here.
