If Andy Williams is to be believed, we’re getting close to the most wonderful time of the year. While Black Friday madness, frigid temperatures, and dreadful seasonal ditties like “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” in regular radio rotation have us thinking otherwise, it’s hard to hate holiday movies returning to TV programming and movie screens. Following its ridiculously stacked “Shocktoberfest” series around Halloween, the fine folks at Times Cinema, Rosebud Cinema, and Avalon Theater have obtained the rights to some staples of seasonal cinema, as well as some unconventional flicks that just so happen to take place during the yuletide season.

Between December 1 and December 30, the trio of Milwaukee area theaters will host “holiday” screenings of winter favorites, some cult classics, along with both Black Christmas AND White Christmas. Tickets to these special screenings are $5 unless otherwise noted. Now it really is the most wonderful time of the year.
