Last Thursday, we announced the date and lineup for our second Local Coverage benefit concert. On Friday, January 15, an eclectic and talented group of 10 Milwaukee bands and rappers will take the stage at Turner Hall Ballroom to perform 15-minute sets of another local act’s material. Even though the show is almost 90 days away, we’re beyond excited to see how Klassik adapts Decibully’s songs, the way The Whiskeybelles will country up Fox Face’s two-minute punk numbers, GGOOLLDD’s take on Maritime’s music, and how each of the other seven acts will approach the band they drafted. We’re also excited to announce that as of noon today, Local Coverage tickets are on sale!

Join us and our wonderful sponsors—88Nine Radio Milwaukee, Ale Asylum, and Cascio Interstate Music—for what’s sure to be an unforgettable night of unique entertainment that you’ll never be able to witness again. All profits will be split evenly between Girls Rock Milwaukee and Guest House Of Milwaukee. Speaking of 88Nine, the station was awesome enough to tag along with us to chronicle our Local Coverage draft process in a great video piece that somehow manages to make me seem almost human.
