Last month, we were excited to reveal that certified Comedian Of Comedy Brian Posehn would headline the final night of the 10th annual Milwaukee Comedy Festival, which is taking place at Turner Hall on Sunday, August 9. This morning, Milwaukee Comedy announced the 29 other stand-up comedians, sketch groups, and improv troupes that will be joining the beloved alt-comic over the course of the festival’s four-night run. The first six shows–which will take place at Next Act Theatre August 6-8–will see some of Milwaukee’s funniest comedians and improvisers sharing the performance space with acts hailing from nearby locales like Green Bay, Madison, and Chicago, as well as distant destinations including Atlanta, Boston, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles. The event will culminate at historic Turner Hall, where the aforementioned headliner will be preceded by Milwaukee (by way of Madison…by way of Milwaukee) stand-up Ryan Mason and the absurd intellectual stylings of Madison wunderkind Goeffrey Asmus. There will also be a festival kickoff show at Lakefront Brewery on Wednesday, August 5. Here’s the full lineup (which, of course, is subject to change):
