Over the last few months, the fine folks at Goodkind, Palomino, and Cactus Club pooled resources and put their heads together in an effort to bring food, craft beer and cocktails, live music, and vendors together for a day of outdoor autumnal fun known as the second annual Beet Street Harvest Festival. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. Rain, lightning, and hazy conditions put a severe damper on Saturday’s festivities, and forced many of the Bay View block party’s amenities to be moved inside.

While the weather had a notable impact on the event’s turnout, Beet Street raged on as a small group of festival-goers, vendors, musicians, community organizations, pie enthusiasts, and the three affiliated businesses didn’t let the unfavorable conditions ruin their day. Since you probably didn’t go, we thought you’d like to see what you missed during this year’s rainy (but still very fun) Beet Street Harvest festival. [All photos by Kristy Tayler]
