If summer 2016 seemed more quiet than past summers, there’s a good reason: the Milwaukee Air & Water Show, long a source of SCREAMING SUPERSONIC JETS BUZZING THE ENTIRE CITY FOR DAYS ON END took a break this year. Yes, the lakefront festival beloved by suburban families and loathed by city-dwelling pets went on hiatus in 2016 due to concerns over “scheduling and finances.” Those concerns appear to have blasted out of the sky, however, as the Milwaukee Business Journal is reporting the Milwaukee Air & Water Show will be back in 2017. July 15-16, 2017, to be exact.

The popular event at Milwaukee’s lakefront, which did not happen this year because of scheduling and finances, will return in 2017 with headlining act—the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The 2017 show is scheduled to take place on July 15-16.

A new title sponsor for the event is being announced at a press conference on Wednesday at Blu in the Pfister Hotel.

Hide your pets and make your out-of-town plans now, Milwaukee. Maybe Mauthe Lake? Ledge Park? Ooh, have you ever been to the quarry in Redgranite? That shit is nuts.
