Every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher, Evan Rytlewski, and Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: talk radio for the sane.

Milwaukee Magazine assistant editor Dan Shafer stops by to hip Ryan, Evan, and Matt to his wonderfully in-depth article on the future of Downtown Milwaukee, “Downtown Horizons.” Which of the many Downtown developments slated for the next few years (new Bucks arena, new Northwestern Mutual tower, the Couture, Milwaukee Streetcar, etc.) are likely to happen? Which ones are likely to fail? What’s behind all this sudden interest in Downtown, anyway? And, most importantly, is this truly a “transformative” time for Milwaukee, or will we just end up blowing it?
