Every Wednesday at noon, WMSE’s Ryan Schleicher, Shepherd Express’ Evan Rytlewski, and Milwaukee Record’s Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: talk radio for the sane.

Critics are usually dismissed as “all talk and no show,” but in the case of two Milwaukee architecture critics, it seems that words have the power to enact positive change. Ryan, Evan, and Matt discuss the minor controversy surrounding a proposed addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum, and how the criticism raised by the Journal Sentinel’s Mary Louise Schumacher and Urban Milwaukee’s Tom Bamberger helped change the addition’s design for the better. Next, Evan fills us in on a strange TV news report on a new song from local rapper Pizzle, and bemoans the lack of African World Festival from this year’s summer calendar. As always, the Xbox One and “social media engagement for dummies” are also discussed.
