Local tourism organization Visit Milwaukee has come a long way since proclaiming Milwaukee to be “Chicago’s Upper, Upper North Side,” and thinking a campaign entitled “You Gotta Be Here!” was a good idea. These days, Visit Milwaukee is downright useful. For proof, look no further than its many handy¬†“itineraries,” which group Milwaukee destinations and activities into themed packages like “Guy’s Weekend” (Harley-Davidson Museum, CMP Tactical Lazer Tag, etc.), “Girlfriends Getaway” (tea and beauty salons!), “LGBT Hotspots” (La Cage, D.I.X., etc.), and “Wauwatosa.” Inspired by these hometown entertainment lists, we whipped up a few of our own.
